MarkBread- UX Journey

I was asked for UX assistance. Here are the suggestions I sent right off the bat:

  • People always want a search bar
  • Set up categories on the main page in place of “Products”, either use a top menu or a hamburger, just don’t put anything on the left side of the page and don’t make them scroll down the page to find anything.
  • Hint text: I don’t know what Arne or Amchur is and you don’t want me to navigate away to find out.
  • Logging in and registering on the main page just to order can cause a little anxiety. Change it to Order, then prompt for login and/or registration after they’ve loaded their cart full of goodies and are ready to check-out. Offer a % off incentive to register without ordering.
  • Your logo needs to be much bigger.
  • The main page picture cuts off which makes the user think they need to scroll down to see the rest, which is great if there is more, but since there isn’t it looks like the page didn’t load correctly and they’re missing something. Until you have more to scroll, center that puppy up.

ERIKA ABBOTT – increase traffic

I’ve added accounts on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. At this time the client does not want to include TikTok. My plan is to:

  • Incorporate related communities and publications as well as other disabled creators for partnered content to increase backlinks.
  • Add more Keyword text
  • Add video on the site- poetry readings (Erika is a writer) and interviews
  • Create pins on Pinterest and link them to the site
  • Add disabled celebrities and their accomplishments
